...COOLER NEXT WEEK WITH A THREAT OF PRECIPITATION...
.BROADCAST DISCUSSION...HIGH PRESSURE ALOFT WILL WEAKEN SUNDAY AS
AN UPPER LEVEL LOWS DROPS SOUTH OUT OF BRITISH COLUMBIA. EXPECT
SLIGHTLY ABOVE-NORMAL DAYTIME TEMPERATURES SUNDAY...BUT SLIGHTLY
COOLER THAN THOSE OF TODAY. THE UPPER LEVEL TROUGH WILL SETTLES
OVER THE PACIFIC NORTHWEST DURING THE FIRST HALF OF NEXT WEEK...WHICH
WILL BRING A COOLING TREND AND A THREAT OF SHOWER ACTIVITY.
GENERAL HIGH PRESSURE WILL REMAIN OVER THE AREA THROUGH
THE WEEKEND...BUT BEGIN TO WEAKEN SUNDAY. EXPECT SLIGHTLY ABOVE-NORMAL
DAYTIME TEMPERATURES SUNDAY...BUT A LITTLE COOLER THAN THOSE OF TODAY.
THE MARINE LAYER DEEPENS SUNDAY NIGHT AND MONDAY...WHICH SIGNALS THE
BEGINNING OF A PATTERN CHANGE. AN UPPER LEVEL TROUGH WILL REMAIN
OVER THE PACIFIC NORTHWEST THROUGH MUCH OF NEXT WEEK. THE PRIMARY
IMPACTS OF THIS UPPER TROUGH WILL BE COOLER DAYTIME TEMPERATURES
AND HIGHER HUMIDITY AND INCREASED WIND THROUGH THE COLUMBIA GORGE.
THERE WILL ALSO BE SOME SHOWER ACTIVITY...MAINLY OVER THE NORTH
ZONES...BUT WETTING RAIN AMOUNTS ARE NOT EXPECTED. LONGER RANGE
CHARTS SHOW A SLIGHT WARMING TREND LATE NEXT WEEK...FOLLOWED BY
ANOTHER UPPER LEVEL TROUGH NEXT WEEKEND.

...GUSTY WINDS WITH MODERATE TO POOR HUMIDITY RECOVERIES ACROSS THE
CURRY COUNTY COASTAL MOUNTAINS AND MARBLE MOUNTAINS SUNDAY MORNING...
...A CHANCE OF THUNDERSTORMS ACROSS MODOC NATIONAL FOREST AND THE
WARNER MOUNTAINS AREA LATE SUNDAY THROUGH MONDAY EVENING...
OFFSHORE FLOW ACROSS WESTERN SISKIYOU COUNTY AND THE COASTAL
MOUNTAINS WILL REACH PEAK STRENGTH EARLY SUNDAY MORNING WITH
MODERATE TO POOR HUMIDITY RECOVERIES. TEMPERATURES ACROSS THE AREA
WILL PEAK NEAR RECORD HIGHS...AT 15 TO 20 DEGREES ABOVE NORMAL THIS
WEEKEND...GREATEST ON THE WEST SIDE TODAY AND ON THE EAST SIDE ON
SUNDAY. MOISTURE WILL INCREASE FROM THE SOUTH SUNDAY THROUGH MONDAY
AS LOW PRESSURE APPROACHES THE AREA. THUNDERSTORMS ARE POSSIBLE DURING
THAT PERIOD...MAINLY OVER THE MODOC...THE MOUNT SHASTA AREA...AND THE
SOUTHEASTERN FREMONT-WINEMA NATIONAL FOREST. TEMPERATURES WILL FALL
TO SLIGHTLY BELOW NORMAL UNDER NORTHWEST FLOW NEXT WEEK.

Northeast Oregon:

A FLAT RIDGE OF HIGH PRESSURE WILL KEEP CONDITIONS
WARM AND DRY THROUGH MONDAY. WINDS WILL BE LOCALLY BREEZY EACH
AFTERNOON AND EVENING INTO NEXT WEEK. A TROUGH OF LOW PRESSURE
WILL THEN MOVE INTO THE AREA TUESDAY AND WEDNESDAY FOR AN INCREASE
IN WINDS...COOLER TEMPERATURES AND A POTENTIAL FOR RAIN SHOWERS.
SOME INSTABILITY COULD LEAD TO THE POTENTIAL FOR THUNDERSTORMS
OVER NORTHEAST OREGON ON TUESDAY.
